Welcome to MacroSlate. By accessing our services, creating an account via Google Single Sign-On, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Accounts & Whitelisting

MacroSlate utilizes secure Google SSO for account verification. The AI-assisted features (such as scanning and instant nutritional lookup) operate on a tiered quota check. Owners and whitelisted administrators are allocated a higher threshold limit, while unregistered or guest tiers receive a standard limit. We reserve the right to modify, adjust, or suspend access quotas to prevent system abuse.

2. AI Nutrition Estimations & Medical Disclaimer

MacroSlate provides quick food calculations and macronutrient estimations powered by generative server-side AI models (including Gemini). These estimations are provided strictly for educational and personal self-tracking purposes only.

⚠️ MEDICAL DISCLAIMER: MacroSlate is not a medical application, nor does it employ licensed clinicians. The calculations (calories, protein, carbohydrates, fats, etc.) are approximations and should not be used as clinical guidelines, medical advice, or treatment plans for eating disorders, diabetes, or other conditions. Always consult a medical physician or registered dietitian before beginning any strict dietary regimen.

3. Google Fit & Third-Party Integrations

By opting to link your Google Fit account, you grant MacroSlate permission to read your physical daily activity stats (to dynamically calculate activity calories burned) and to write detailed food nutrition logs to your profile.

We are not responsible for the stability of Google's API services, latency in syncing, data discrepancies, or platform changes executed by Google. You are responsible for managing your connection permissions inside Google's account settings page.

4. Prohibited Use & System Safeguards

To ensure system safety and availability for all users, you agree NOT to:

Attempt prompt injection attacks, overriding system instructions, or jailbreaking API endpoints.
Log hazardous, toxic, chemical, illegal, or non-consumable items (system safeguards are active and will automatically enforce warnings or lock profiles).
Attempt to bypass, mock, or spoof daily scan limits or token authorization signatures.
Use vulgar, abusive, or obscene terminology within search filters.

5. Intellectual Property

All elements, designs, text, database schemas, and custom visual layers of MacroSlate are the property of the developers. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or reverse-engineer our codebase without written permission.

6. Limitation of Liability

MacroSlate is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely accurate. In no event shall the developer, MacroSlate, be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your usage of this tracking application.

7. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting to this URL page. Your continued use of the application constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
